The Everett Street Guesthouse is a casual bed and breakfast inn and peaceful urban oasis for visitors to Portland, Oregon.  The perfect alternative to high priced hotels or sterile motels, there are no frilly curtains, teddy bears or potpourri  here.  Featured in the 2008, 6th Edition of "Frommer's Portland," the 1907 Craftsman style home is a warm and welcoming space, filled with art and crafts from the Innkeeper's previous life as a gallery owner. The casual atmosphere invites mornings in your robe, if you like, where you can sip your cappuccino on the back deck in summer, or in winter, by the fireplace.

Included in your stay is wifi, a large deck, 2 sitting rooms, t.v./dvd, and a generous continental breakfast with espresso drinks or teas.  Other services which can be pre-arranged are: bicycle rentals, airport pick up and/or drop-off , and PRIVATE ART STUDIO TOURS!--for an additional charge. The guesthouse has two lovely guest rooms conveniently located within minutes of downtown, and is walking distance to some of Portland's best restaurants, Laurelhurst movie theater, Laurelhurst Park and public transportation.  There's plenty of on-street parking in this quiet and safe urban neighborhood.  It's a 5-10 minute drive to the Hawthorne District, Pearl District, Chinatown, and Nob Hill.

Note:  The Inn is a non smoking, no perfume household.  I do have one cat in case of allergies.  The cat is not allowed in any of the guest rooms.

2008 -6th Edition FROMMER'S OREGON'S COMMENTS  "....gorgeous little hideaway on a quiet residental street in northeast Portland.  Innkeeper Terry Rusinow, who once owned a craft gallery in California wine country, has an impeccable eye for interior decor, so public spaces and guest rooms here are beautifully decorated.  This little homestay-style inn has only 2 rooms, and was possibly adding a small sleeping cottage with a kitchenette.  When you stay in the main house, you almost feel as though you've rented the entire place. ....the neighborhood has loads of great restaurants within walking distance.
